The Palace of the Rumyantsevs and the Paskeviches in Gomel was constructed in the 18th century originally as the castle in the style of early classicism and was used as the residence of Gomel aristocrats. Throughout its history the palace was destroyed and restored for several times. Today it is one of the most interesting and frequently visited Belarusian museums.
