Bulgarian Posts, bpost and Le Groupe La Poste Awarded by the PostEurop 2018 CSR "Coups de Coeur"

PostEurop proudly announced the winners of the 2018 "CSR Coups de Cœur" awards on the occasion of its 25th Anniversary celebration event on 4 October in Tbilisi. The awards recognise best practices in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) amongst European Postal Operators in the areas of Employees, Society and Environment.

In the Employees category, bpost received the “Coup de Coeur” award for their “DUO for a JOB” initiative, a cooperation which matches young job seekers with migrant backgrounds with employees of over 50 years of age. Employees are able to provide supports to the young migrants thanks to their professional skills and experience. Mark Michiels, Chief Human Resources Officer for bpost, is delighted with the award: "Our collaboration with the Duo for a Job program is a real win-win experience for both bpost and young job-seekers. We hope that our participation will inspire many other companies to participate in this program where an employee’s experience is put to good use to help young people. This kind of project is close to our DNA as an employer and I am proud of all our motivated coaches!" See video

Bulgarian Posts was awarded the "Coup de Coeur” for Society in recognition of their efforts in “Preventing Labor exploitation through a national campaign.” The educative campaign uses the widespread network of post offices enabling rapid distribution of information reinforced by a broad media coverage, including social media. Mr. Biser Pachev, Projects’ Coordination and International Affairs Director, who received the award concluded that “Bulgarian Posts’ extensive network of post offices, our historic role in social cohesion and with the trust of our clients has made us a reliable and indispensable partner for the campaign. Thus the message reached the most vulnerable population groups.” See video

The “Coup de Coeur” for Environment was awarded to Le Groupe La Poste for their initiative “Atmotrack, monitoring environmental quality”. This pioneering initiative established through a partnership with French start-up Atmotrack, helps citizens to be informed on air quality in big French cities thanks to sensors installed on postal vehicles and buildings. Olivier Vallet CEO of La Poste subsidiary Docapost stated that “La Poste is proud to be associated with Atmotrack, a French startup from our open innovation program “French IoT” on the Internet of Things. Air pollution is an environmental urgency. By combining our expanded postal network with a solution based on sensors and environmental quality monitoring, we can act together for a better life in city.”  See video
