The Pošta Slovenije Group has been awarded ISO/IEC 27001 Security Certification

The use of information and communication technologies in everyday business as well as in daily lives of individuals is rapidly increasing.

With the growing information support of businesses, Slovenia Post has recognized the increasing importance of information security. This is the reason why the company has decided to adjust its Information Security Management System (ISMS) for the hosting services (physical servers and physical space in secure rooms, virtual servers) and information services on cloud infrastructure to the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard.

At the end of 2017, Pošta Slovenije successfully passed the certification audit and acquired a certificate that guarantees compliance with the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard for the information services offered to its customers in the data centers.

»This certificate proves that Pošta Slovenije has a high-quality and properly maintained information management system in data centers. The system will be constantly upgraded in the future. The standardization of business operations and processes in large entities is necessary in order to ensure quality and appropriate controls, as well as rationality and adequate profitability of operations," said Pošta Slovenije’s General Manager, Mr. Boris Novak.

Pošta Slovenije provides its customers, under its brand PosiTa, with high-quality and secure information services, some of which are now certified according to the ISO/IEC 27001 standard.
