Users of Self-service Parcel Terminals - Residents of Large Cities

One third of customers sending their items via the LP EXPRESS 24 self-service parcel terminals are from Vilnius. Also, there are many active service users in other largest cities of Lithuania, mainly Kaunas, Klaipeda, and Siauliai.

Domas Sabaitis, Director of Baltic Post, running the network of LP EXPRESS 24 self-service parcel terminals, said: “It can be noticed that the main users of the self-service parcel terminals are young people residing in large cities who purchase goods from online shops. About 50% of items collected from the LP EXPRESS 24 terminals origin from online shops.

The residents of small towns tend to choose conventional services; therefore, they send and collect items at post offices”.

According to Mr Sabaitis, the majority of items fit into the weight step up to 2kg, and the most popular box size of LP EXPRESS 24 terminals is “S”.

One of the main reasons encouraging people to use the self-service parcel terminals is unlimited access time. The service is accessible to residents or businesses at any time, as the terminals are operational 24/7.

At present, 71 the LP EXPRESS 24 self-service parcel terminals are operational in 41 cities and towns. This is the widest network of self-service parcel terminals in Lithuania.
