Pitney Bowes International Mail Services generates revenues of around £15 million (€17.5 million) in the United Kingdom, and offers international mail distribution services to its customers in over 215 countries, primarily to companies in the financial and publishing sectors.
Asendia, which generates revenues of around £90 million (€105 million) in the United Kingdom, is primarily reinforcing its position on these two segments, via gaining new customers and adding to its range of publication and business correspondence distribution solutions.
“The acquisition will enable Asendia customers in the United Kingdom to benefit from a wider range of high-quality and high value-added products and services for managing their international mail. Meanwhile, Pitney Bowes customers will have access to both Asendia’s parent companies’ experience and expertise, and to a broader world-wide distribution network, in order to reach new international markets” said Marc Pontet, the Chief Executive Officer of Asendia.
This acquisition will boost Asendia’s growth potential and will provide significant commercial outlets, primarily in the e-commerce and remote selling, direct marketing, and newspaper & catalogue markets.
The transaction will be finalised in May.
