Philippe Wahl has been appointed as director of Le Groupe La Poste, and has been recommended for the position of Chairman.

Today, at a meeting chaired by Jean-Paul Bailly, the Board of Directors of Le Groupe La Poste appointed Philippe Wahl as a Director, in order to fill the position left vacant by the resignation of Guillaume Gaubert, the Government Representative.

The Board also decided to recommend to the President of the Republic of France that he appoint Philippe Wahl as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Le Groupe La Poste; Philippe Wahl would therefore succeed Jean-Paul Bailly, who does not wish to fulfil his current mandate up until November 2014.

Philippe Wahl will need to appear before the appropriate French National Assembly and Senate commissions, in accordance with the law. Following these hearings, the appointment of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Le Groupe La Poste shall be the subject of a decree at the Council of Ministers.

Jean-Paul Bailly will continue to perform all his duties until the end of the process to appoint his successor.
