Guernsey Post introduce new EBOX Customer Collection and Safe Place Services.

Guernsey Post has successfully launched two new services specifically designed to help Guernsey residents manage their parcel deliveries at their own convenience.

The EBOX Customer Collection service notifies customers of the arrival of their parcels via text message and email, these parcels are then held at Envoy House for hassle-free collection or delivery at a convenient time. The Company hopes to introduce additional collection points throughout the Island over the coming months.

Guernsey residents who have a weather proof area at home where items can be left,  such as a garage, garden shed or dry storage unit, are now able to sign up for a Safe Place delivery. Customers also have the option to select a neighbour as a safe place delivery option. When a parcel has been left in a safe place, a card will be posted through the letter box notifying the recipient.

Steve Lawrence, Parcel Manager at Guernsey Post said:
"Having listened carefully to feedback from our customers we realised that returning home to find a 'while you were out card' (a missed delivery notification) was a common frustration for Guernsey residents. Our new Ebox and Safe Place services are specifically designed to avoid this; enabling our customers' to choose a delivery option that's convenient and hassle-free."

Sign up and use of Guernsey Post's EBOX service is free and once completed, customers will be issued with their own unique identification number to add to their address details [please see example below]. Items received into Guernsey Post will then be scanned and recipients will be sent email and SMS message notifications. Customers will have the flexibility to choose either to collect their items from Envoy House at a convenient time or alternatively, arrange a delivery date when they know they will be home.
