An Post DeliveryBox is the business

No more missed deliveries, stress free online shopping and your parcels delivered safely even when you are out. All this is promised by An Post’s innovative DeliveryBox service which has just been launched nationwide.

DeliveryBox offers a compact, discreet and stylish wall-mounted box which holds your letters and parcels at your home or business, until you retrieve them. The box, allied to An Post’s unrivalled nationwide delivery network, makes DeliveryBox the perfect solution for online shoppers, commuters and working families.

Following on from the successful launch of DeliveryBox in the South East in October, nationwide rollout of the innovative An Post service has now begun. DeliveryBox will operate as an addition to An Post’s existing mails and parcels services. From Monday, local post offices and mail delivery units nationwide have been promoting the service and early interest has been promising.

Priced just €69.99, which includes the specially designed weather-resistant delivery box, access keys, unique barcode security feature, installation template and activation card, DeliveryBox will be delivered within five working days of ordering. Customers can also leave stamped mail or online shopping returns in the box for collection by their postperson. Once installed, An Post begins delivering your parcels and general mail to the new DeliveryBox.

DeliveryBox marks part of An Post’s response to changing consumer needs; the service is ideal for online shopping and for ensuring confidentiality of the mail. No more waiting around for deliveries, no more missed parcels. An Post’s smart scanning system acts as proof of delivery and there’s no need for a signature. And the technology behind DeliveryBox enables direct contact with the customer to inform them when a delivery has been made.

An Post saw its contract parcel business increase by 22% in 2013 fuelled by the growth in online and catalogue shopping.
