This month, the Company’s courier agents have been equipped with electric scooters, which will help them reach our customers faster and safer.
20 electric scooters have been purchased through rental services and will replace the old fleet of mopeds, purchased 16 years ago.
Scooters offer a new level of urban mobility for postal workers, who are constantly concerned that packages reach their destination safely and in the shortest possible time. The new equipment is ideal for heavy traffic in cities. With low energy consumption and excellent maneuverability, they will facilitate the delivery of parcels in areas that are difficult for traditional vehicles to reach.
They are also environmentally friendly and continue to expand the program through which the Romanian Post contributes to the reduction of carbon emissions from cities and to the reduction of the impact on the environment.
As the largest postal and courier service company in Romania, which reaches all corners of the country, The Romanian Post is constantly in need of solutions to reduce the delivery time, suitable especially in urban agglomerations. Thus, in the future, the purchase of these electric mopeds will be expanded to a national level, currently representing a pilot project.
