The Environment, Social and Governance Transversal (ESGT) monitors and analyzes regulatory, operational and market developments, positioning PostEurop as a committed association in response to the growing and rapidly evolving sustainability and ESG commitments at European and international level. It also raises awareness among all members about the need for a sustainable transformation.
The ESGT contributes to enhancing PostEurop’s external visibility and the communication regarding it’s commitment to sustainability-related issues while improving the coordination with other international stakeholders on this matter.
Social Affairs Committee
The Social Affairs Committee promotes discussions, exchange of good practices and joint actions on key social issues: the evolution of the postal sector, innovative training programs, diversity, corporate social responsibility and occupational safety.
The committee represents the employers of the postal sector, under the umbrella of PostEurop, at the European Social Dialogue Committee for the postal sector (SDC), set up in 1999. The SDC objectives are to advise the European Commission on the developments in European policy which could have a social impact on the sector. Encouraging and promoting social dialogue within the postal sector and discuss structures to allow negotiations between the partners in the sector. The SDC is composed of representatives of the postal employers (PostEurop) and workers unions (UNI Europa Postal and CESI) of the 27 EU Member States. Its activities are supported by the European Commission.
